Kid in Story Book Maker App Reviews

This is a great app to create personal stories about your child. You can add their picture to any other picture and create stories about them. I would love to be able to tilt the kids faces.

Surprised that "Kid in Story" appears on every page. Unable to use for ad-free publication.

No sound. No tech support. No refund. Big mistake, bought the bundle and none of the apps have sound. WASTE OF MONEY. PS. TECH support told me to turn the sound on five times......thanks for nothing.

I use Kid in Story with my kinder and first grade students to recreate stories in their own words. Supports reading and listening comprehension. Even better when the children get creative and insert a picture of themselves using Kid in Story photo editing feature. My kiddos go back and reread their own stories over and over during independent reading. This app has no limits!

I got this app yesterday. I absolutely love it! I have made a few stories...it was easy and the stories are wonderful. You can add your childs photo to any picture...even enlarge or shrink your child. I made a story where my son is the same size as his toy train and is going for a ride. I highly recommend this app!

This is a big hit with my boys. Both of my children figured out what I was doing right away. They posed for the camera in order to match the backgrounds I wanted to superimpose (flying, jumping, climbing, swinging). I love the templates and would like to see more soon! As for editing an image, it took a little practice to mark kid and mark background, but I mastered it quickly. If possible, it would be nice to have a "redo" button too. Overall, a well thought out app! For me, this will be a useful tool for reading and speech therapy.

This is the most fabulous app, love the designs, love the idea of creating your own story! My daughter loves taking pictures and now loves to see herself in them! Awesome app! Really would recommend it to my friends! Its a great app to spend time with family, laughing and enjoying silly, scary, sad, angry, funny faces. LOVE IT!!!

This app is great - as an SLP I see a huge number of uses and cant wait to create with my students. Big drawback - nothing supports seeing it - I cant share unless someone else owns the $10.00 app. This is a big bummer.

The addition of a common library for app users to contribute their own stories and templates for sharing with the kid in story community and the free reader app make this app almost perfect...my only remaining wish would be the ability to add more than one kid to a background.

The template for FACES I MAKE worked great. Each attempt at making a more personal story has resulted in frustration. The text doesnt save, but recording does. I have submitted the problem to the company and they have tried to help, but after all their efforts and removing and reinstalling the problem persists. Hope the bug is corrected soon.

My HFA daughter love this app and so do I! Im just getting started but I can see that this will be a great way to do social stories for her. Thanks !

Love making stories with the kids & putting them into the scenes. Great for reluctant/struggling readers/writers.

My kids can make stories of their own!

It is extremely easy and handy to make custom books with this app. First of all, the app and the books made by the app look good! I also love the feature that automatically detects the outline of a person, then cut and paste it onto another picture. Sometimes the auto detecting goes wrong, but it is easy to correct. My son loves to see himself in the story!

This app is easy to use--gives great directions that are easy to follow on each page; even offers a tutorial video. The ability to use photos from the device or take photos on the spot is great. It is very easy to edit the photo for the page in the book. There are plenty of available templates that can be added to. Wonderful app!

This was a great app to use and help kids make a story. The tutorial was excellent as it guided you through everything you needed to know in order to make a story. We liked how easy it was to put it all together and the sample book as a guide. This was a lot of fun to use.

What child wouldnt love a personalized story about himself/herself! The tutorials make it super easy to create a fun-filled story with personal pictures and the childs voice! There is such a sense of accomplishment when the book is finished. Very nice app!!

Makes the creation of stories very simple. And I love the fact that you can embed your picture or your kids picture in the story.

Great App - Cannot wait to use with my class. I have already did some with the templates provided. Excellent App!
